Who’s this “Jake” guy?
Jake Segelbaum is a writer, filmmaker, and comedian originally from Philadelphia currently living in Los Angeles.
He directed, edited, and produced a documentary short “MONUMENTAL CHANGE” which received various accolades including Best Documentary at the Lancaster International Film Festival.
His original pilot “ODDJOBBERS” received an 8 on The Blacklist.
He wrote, directed, and edited a half-hour sitcom pilot “SOLANO CANYON” which went on to win BEST COMEDY and the BLUE DIAMOND AWARD at the Spotlight International Film Festival.
In 2026, his band “UP THE DOWN” released their debut E.P. Freaky Alien Clothes.
He is currently on the sketch team “PAPERBACK,” on the indie sketch comedy team “DUCK DUCK DUCK,'“ and performing in and producing a monthly live music-comedy show “NOT PLUGGED IN”
He can also solve a Rubik’s cube.
